PHOTO: Surigao del Sur - Map of Attractions
Surigao del Sur is a province situated in the Caraga Region at the eastern coast of Mindanao with Tandag City as the Capital. Kindly click above attraction map of Surigao del Sur Philippines to enlarge.

HOW TO GET THERE?

PHOTO: Cebu Pacific Flight 6951, Cebu to Tandag

Through air, Cebu Pacific serves a 45-minute flight from Cebu (Mactan Int'l. Airport) to Tanday City with 3 flights a week via Cebgo Flight 6951 (CEB-TGD), 11:10am → 12:20pm MWF. That is the only commercial flight available as of this writing.

Through land, there are different van & transportation services (tour packages) that depart from its neighbouring city, Butuan, as well as from major hubs in Mindanao area like Surigao City, Davao City, Iligan City and more.

PS: If you depart from Manila, might as well take a flight heading to Butuan City, Davao City or Surigao City and proceed with the land trip.

WHAT ARE THE MAJOR ATTRACTIONS IN SURIGAO DEL SUR, PHILIPPINES?

Traveler's Couch shares to you some of the most visited attractions in Surigao del Sur, Philippines.
(Click the photo to enlarge)

1) City of Tandag

Tip: When taking Cebgo Flight 6951 from Cebu to Tandag, take a window seat to have an aerial view of Tandag City, with a feel of Brazil's Rio de Janeiro at some parts and amazing waves at the coast as seen above.

3) San Agustin Stop-over w/ Britania Islands View

4) Cagwait Beach

Tip: You can actually skip this, it's not as stunning as what being shown online by most sites (with those killer waves, lol). But this is a considerable place to stay near by the beach, granting it's just an hour away from Tandag Airport.
