HOSTEL AVENUE BORACAY - PROs, CONs and RECOMMENDATIONS

Here are Traveler's Couch Pros-Cons list compiled during its January 2017 visit:

PROs:
*Beachfront stay at a good price. Just few steps away from D'Mall and nearby restaurants of Station 2 in White Beach.
*Very friendly, accommodating and approachable staff, special thanks to Delle.
*Free Booze in the upper balcony (depends on the number of guests checking in).
*Pay-later or upon checkin option when booked via Agoda.com or Booking.com.
*Very relaxing balcony with comfy beanbags, almost perfect for sunset watching.
*Clean restroom/toilet.
*Stable bunk beds. No movement felt when getting off from the upper bed.
*Free WiFi with reliable internet speed.
*Easy contact for inquiries. Guests can call them directly through their mobile number for immediate inquiries or message them through their Facebook Page.

CONs:
*No hot shower. This can be bothering during rainy days, as the water can be colder than the usual.
*Less room space for luggages. This can be an issue for someone who's assigned to stay at an upper bed with huge luggages. Better note on you reservation or call the property prior check-in to request for a lower bed instead if traveling with huge or couple of luggages, as these can be stored under the bunk bed.
*Not all are capsule-inspired bed setup. They might only allocate beds with partition cover for ladies only.
*Issue with drying up wet apparels, as there is only limited space to hang them located behind the shower rooms.
*Room key. You'd end up paying Php500 for a key that is prone for misplacing.

Over-all Recommendation:
Traveler's Couch highly recommends Hostel Avenue Boracay for all budget travelers & backpackers. The CONs list maybe loaded for now but we trust the owner will do something about these since they just welcomed guests late of 2016, a newbie in Boracay.
