I enjoyed my very first Kadaugan sa Mactan experience last April 26-27, 2012. I went out of office early of the 26th to have the Food Feast in Mactan Shrine, offering foods from different known Resorts & Food Establishments/Restaurants with very reasonable price. Lucky for me since the Festival's Ritual Dance (different from the Reenactment) took place just behind the shrine and of course, took shots of the ritual dance inspired by those historical events hundreds of years ago - the Battle of Mactan: Datu Lapu-lapu and Portuguese Ferdinand Magellan (history = weakness, sigh*). Nevertheless, it was a spectacular activity, well-prepared one (Deja Vu, felt those New Year lightings, fireworks, etc).

Firedancing/Poi was the main attraction right after the Ritual Dance. Would love to try such but nevermind, give it up to them. This reminds me of my
Boracay Trip, tons of firedancers everywhere and they're all good. Click photo to enlarge. :)
